The missions and outreach ministries of Living Hope Church are an ever expanding and vibrant part of our church. We take seriously the task Jesus commissioned us with, to be his witness throughout the world.
We count it a privilege to be a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA). This Christ-centered ministry is all about taking the gospel to all peoples, everywhere, planting churches, and making disciples who can repeat the process with others.
The ministries of Living Hope Church reflect this vision of ministry. We actively promote the support of the C&MA Great Commission Fund and our district’s church planting program and other ministries.
In addition to this, we have developed a missions network within our own church. This network provides the people of Living Hope Church with opportunities for hands-on experience in missions and evangelistic outreach. It is a multi-faceted program that literally goes around the world.
At the present this program includes:
1. Intentional church outreaches |
| |
These special events give us an opportunity to reach our friends and neighbors with the gospel. They include events such as Vacation Bible School, Farmers and Ag Workers Appreciation Day, Educators Appreciation day, and Christian concerts. |
| 2. Partnership with local ministry to provide help for the poor and needy in Canton |
| |
We partner with the ministry of the Total Living Center of Canton and are a community site for the Prescription Assistance Network of Stark County to help achieve this goal. |
| 3. Great Food for All |
| |
This ministry gives us an opportunity to build relationships with the people of our community by providing excellent food for greatly reduced prices. For more information, click on the link for the Great Food For All on our home page. |
| 4. C.A.M.P. at M.C.R. in North Vernon, Indiana |
| |
We, along with two other area churches, assist this faith-based ministry each summer by providing counselors and staff for one week of camp and laborers for various building projects, such as new cabins, tree houses, and worship buildings. |
| 5. Hungary Missions Trip |
| |
This summer, we will be sending our seventh team from Living Hope Church, to assist in two separate evangelistic camps in Hungary. One is in Újfehértó, a town located in the northeastern part of Hungary, close to the Romanian border and the other is in Zirc, located just north of Lake Balaton. These camps are sponsored by the Baptist Church in Újfehértó and International Messengers (www.internationalmessengers.org). Our team will be teaching conversational English and softball - a relatively new sport in that part of Hungary - to children, teenagers, and adults between the ages of 7-40+. Teaching these skills opens many doors for sharing the gospel and teaching the Bible. |
| 6. Remember Nhu! (www.remembernhu.org) |
| |
This is a ministry to save children from the sex slave trade in Thailand and Cambodia. Founded by one of our elders, Carl Ralston, Remember Nhu! works to rescue children who are at risk of being sold into this terrible industry and provide them with education, care and Christian training. |
